Friends are invited to come for the whole weekend or just for one day. The only hybrid portion will be Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business.
The rest of the weekend will be in person activities only.
We invite you to encourage Friends from your meeting to attend.
Registration is open now and we'd love to have Friends sign up right away. Please register no later than May 22. Meals and accommodations may not be available after that date.
We will gather at 5pm on Friday and depart mid-afternoon on Sunday, after Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business. It's a great opportunity to re-connect and forge new relationships with Friends.
The theme is Walking Joyfully on the Earth with All our Relations.
We plan a time of renewal, exploring how we can live more in harmony with nature, and looking at how we can participate in systemic changes to reduce human harms to life on the planet. We are looking for ideas for experiences we can create together and gifts we can share towards this regenerative path. Cost Details:
As in years past, Spring Gathering registration fees and weekend costs will be pay-as-led.
We recognize that families, young Friends and Friends who may be experiencing financial challenges may feel the burden of registration costs. We long to have all who are called to be part of Spring Gathering be able to participate. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.
We are offering guidelines so that Friends have a sense of the approximate cost, but you should also know that the Region has money and a commitment for anyone to be there who would like to attend.
Using these guidelines and your own knowledge of your situation, please choose to pay what works the best for you. If you are not able to pay at all this year, you do not need to pay anything. If you would like to donate more, that will help cover costs for others.
This is a range of costs per person (including meals and the Y at Watson Woods program fee), depending on what kind of room and whether there is only one person in the room, or two. Friends coming to Spring Gathering will have a Watson Program fee and a cost for meals, plus a room cost for those staying overnight.
Each Friend has a Watson Program fee of $37, whether coming for one day or the whole weekend.
Meals:
The meals are as follows:
Saturday breakfast: $12.31
Saturday lunch: $13.85
Friday and Saturday dinner: $18.47 (each)
Sunday brunch: $16.93
(note: all 5 meals come to $80.03)
Rooms:
Hotel style room (private bath): $110 per night
Dorm style room (shared bath): $80 per night
Hillside room (shared bath): $70 per night
Each room costs an amount regardless of the number of occupants
i.e. a hotel style room is $110 per night, whether there are 1, 2, 3, or 4 people in it ($110 for 1 person, a total of $110 for 4 people)
